Colombia
- Altiplano Cundiboyacense (Bogotá surroundings).
- Dreamy caribbean.
- Coffee area.
- Huila: desert, archeology and mountains.
Colombia
Since Maya is Colombian, she could not resist the temptation of proposing travels in her native country. She has visited a large part of Colombia and thanks to this experience we can propose destinations that range from the adventurous to the most sophisticated.
Altiplano Cundiboyacense (Bogotá surroundings).
When travelling to Colombia, Bogotá is the base for other destinations. It is the capital, and Maya’s hometown. In Bogotá, we propose you to discover its history with a tour in the historic center, a visit to the most emblematic museums and its gastronomy. As it is the capital and a metropolis the options are abundant.
Apart from visiting Bogotá, we suggest a tour of its surroundings to visit the lagoon of the legend of El Dorado, Natural Parks where you can discover vegetation that only exists in 5 countries in the world, as well as the territory of the only bear in South America, hot springs and the charm of the Andes Mountains.
Dreamy caribbean.
In this travel inspiration we focus on the coastal gastronomy, Cartagena’s architecture, the paradisiacal islands and beaches of the Caribbean, and the wild landscapes of the Tayrona National Park. Enjoying all this in charming accommodations.
Coffee area.
During 2020 and 2021 Maya lived between Bogotá and Armenia for 8 months. Thus she was able to create a network of contacts in fascinating places. We suggest you to visit the coffee region with its typical coffee landscape, which is a world heritage site, do a coffee tasting, visit coffee plantations and discover its colorful colonial architecture. You can also visit the Cocora valley to discover the Colombian emblematic tree and depending on how adventurous the traveler is, a journey can be proposed in the Los Nevados National Natural Park.
Huila: desert, archeology and mountains.
This magical department has a variety of options for all tastes. We propose sophisticated accommodations while you discover one of the three oldest cultures in South America and its archaeological remains. Also a visit to a tropical dry forest and a journey through two of the three Colombian mountain ranges where the waterfalls overflow with beauty.
Italy
- Apulia and Matera.
- Salento, the heel of Italy.
- Tuscany: thermal springs, history and wine.
- Turin, Alps and the Alba truffle fair.
Italy
Since the end of 2021 Maya lives more than half the year in Apulia, specifically in the southern part better known as Salento, near Gallipoli. It is for this reason that she knows the region very well. Since she lives there, she has created a network of contacts in hotels, restaurants and tourist guides that allow us to propose the best trips for you.
Maya takes a car trip every winter from Gallipoli to Paris, her other home, and on each trip she visits a new Italian destination.
Apulia and Matera.
For this destination we suggest two places on the UNESCO World Heritage list, Matera and Alberobello. In between these two places we will take you on a journey to different towns, each one with a different style but all charming and unique. The tour descends to Salento where you will visit Lecce, better known as the Florence of the South due to its baroque architecture and end up in Gallipoli, the city of Maya.
In all places we offer very special accommodations and a gastronomic guide to fall in love with Italy. In Apulia we have the option of a tourist guide in case you want it.
Salento, the heel of Italy.
For this destination, we propose a trip around Lecce and until the tip of the heel, Leuca. We will focus on enjoying the paradisiacal beaches of Salento that have nothing to envy to the Caribbean. During the trip we propose gastronomic tours with which you can explore the culinary culture of Salento. We also have the possibility if the client wishes of a private course to learn how to make typical fresh pasta with an Italian nonna and a tasting of olive oil and Salentinian wines. In Salento we have the option of a tourist guide in case you want it.
Tuscany: thermal springs, history and wine.
Describing the charm of Tuscany is unnecessary. It is a region so well known that words are superfluous. What we can assure you is that you will visit landscapes that will leave you speechless, taste excellent wines and unparalleled food.
Turin, Alps and the Alba truffle fair.
One of Maya’s favorite cities is Turin, she visits it every year and there is always something more to discover in the capital of Piedmont. Last winter, on her regular trip to Paris, she visited the Alba white truffle fair and we definitely included this tour in our inspirations as it is one of the best gastronomic experiences in our opinion. Within the budget of this inspiration we include a tasting menu of the Alba truffle in one of the restaurants that participate in this fair. We also propose, if the client wishes and the weather conditions allow it, a getaway to a ski resort in a beautiful hotel.
France
Maya arrived in France in 2009 to do a master’s degree and since then she has traveled this country that she is passionate about. Its history, gastronomy, wines, landscapes and architecture have led her to explore different destinations in this beautiful country. Maya has lived in various places in France: Rouen in Normandy, Toulouse in the south, and Paris. She has traveled to several places and can propose you different destinations in France. Here you will find just some of the many ideas:
Paris and Burgundy.
The city of light needs no introduction. Maya has lived in it for more than 10 years and the ideas that we will give you will take into account the new proposals in Paris (there are always new places and exhibitions to discover) as well as its classic but timeless places. And not to mention French gastronomy!
Burgundy is a destination that we have chosen because it is close to Paris and because its wines are delicate and perfect. The visit to this region can include a bike or boat ride on the Burgundy canal with stops at hotels that include tastings of Burgundian culinary specialties. A visit to the Hospices de Beaune, vineyards and a wine tasting from this wonderful French region will also be included.
South of France: lavender, perfumes and sea.
Maya tested this destination last summer to ensure the best places to visit. The tour includes a walk through the best lavender fields, small towns nestled in the mountains with landscapes to take your breath away, and small cities by the sea. As each trip is personalized, we adapt to the taste of the client to propose the places that will best suit your liking.
Other ideas:
Toulouse: canal and cassoulet, Loire Castles, Alsace and its Christmas market and Normandy and its Mont Saint Michel.
Spain
- Andalusia: Flamenco, bellota and the Costa del Sol.
- Basque Country: a gastronomic trip between two countries.
Spain
Andalusia: Flamenco, bellota and the Costa del Sol.
This inspiration travel across Andalusia as per the client taste. We propose to visit Seville with its unique architecture, the Alhambra in Granada, Córdoba and its World Heritage Sites and the Capital of the Costa del Sol, Málaga, to finish with a rest plan. In these destinations we suggest a visit to a Flamenco tablao and Arab baths to immerse yourselves in the Andalusian culture. We also propose in nearby places a tasting of Bellota and regional wines.
Basque Country: a gastronomic trip between two countries.
The Basque Country is a region shared between France and Spain and is undoubtedly an indisputable stop for gourmets. It is steeped in history but above all with such renowned culinary art. It is no surprise that they have so many Michelin star restaurants, but beyond its record of stars, its charm lies in the delicacy and creativity of the daily dishes and its appetizers called pintxos. For this reason we had to include it in our inspirations. The visit proposes destinations between Bilbao and its mythical Guggenheim museum, passing through San Sebastián until reaching Bayonne and Biarritz in France.
Portugal
- Ericeira: Surf, Marisqueiras (seafood restaurants) and wines.
- Porto: Azulejos (Tiles), viewpoints and vineyards in the Douro Valley.
Portugal
Ericeira: Surf, Marisqueiras (seafood restaurants) and wines.
Maya proposes this destination, because she has the opportunity to go several times a year to visit her sister who lives there. During these visits she has been able to discover this beautiful region that is half an hour north of Lisbon.
Ericeira is an old fishing village that in 2011 became the second World Surfing Reserve and currently, of the eleven world reserves, it is the only European one.
Apart from surfing, which is a lifestyle there, Ericeira and its surroundings offer a fairly wide gastronomic offer with its numerous seafood restaurants. The landscapes are enchanting and between the mountains and the ocean we can visit world heritage monuments and vineyards with fascinating tastings.
This travel inspiration proposes a tour of Lisbon and on the way to Ericeira you will visit the magical Sintra, some vineyards with their respective tastings and the fabulous Mafra Palace.
Porto: Azulejos (Tiles), viewpoints and vineyards in the Douro Valley.
Porto is a wonderful city that has a lot to offer among its intricate streets. The facades of Porto are bathed in tiles that are a treat for the eyes. The landscapes from its bridges are fascinating and the gastronomic offer is very varied.
For this inspiration we recommend visiting Porto with a guide who will lead you throughout the city, to enjoy the landscapes without stress.
We will cross the Douro to visit the cellars of its famous wine in Vila Nova de Gaia and if the weather permits, a boat trip can be organized from the Douro River to the ocean.
In its surroundings we recommend visiting the vineyards in the Douro Valley. The breathtaking landscapes and the riveting range of accommodations make this destination an unmissable one.
